simple apple cinnamon granola

This was a quick granola I whipped up to satisfy my cereal craving.  Fat free and only lightly sweetened.  It is great with sliced apples sauteed in cinnamon.

  • 2 cups old fashioned rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup apple sauce
  • sprinklings of cinnamon and nutmeg to your liking- I like a lot of cinnamon
  • 2 Tbs maple syrup
  • dash of vanilla extract

Combine all ingredients until all oats are moist. Spread in a single layer on cookie sheet. Bake at 400 for about 35 minutes, stirring once during bake time.  Allow to cool- top with toasted coconut and almond milk.
